In Texas, the tide is starting to turn against Governor Greg Abbott, who is seeking a second term next November, a vote that will take place at the same time as the midterm congressional elections.
The gap between the Republican, still leading the polls, his rival, Democrat Beto O'Rourke, has narrowed considerably.
