Rospotrebnadzor: the incidence of COVID-19 exceeded last week by 48.9%

The ministry said that according to the results of the 29th week of 2022, 43,985 cases of COVID-19 were registered in Russia.

“The incidence rate was 29.97 per 100 thousand of the population, which is 48.9% higher than last week, and 50.2% higher than the average for the past four weeks,” Rosportebnadzor said.

It is noted that the average Russian incidence of COVID-19 is exceeded in 17 regions of Russia.

Rospotrebnadzor recommended that vulnerable categories of citizens wear masks in public places, as well as use antiseptics. 

Earlier it was reported that 1,664 people with coronavirus were hospitalized in Russia per day, 759 patients with COVID-19 were admitted to hospitals the day before.

The doctor of the Chelyabinsk Children's City Hospital No. 8 Anton Ryzhiy, according to FAN, recalled the importance of vaccination against the backdrop of the spread of the centaur coronavirus subspecies.
