The Liberal Democratic Party of the House of Councilors announced the presidential election on the 26th as the term of office of the House of Councilors Chairman Masakazu Sekiguchi expired on the 10th of next month, and accepted candidacy from 11:00 am.



As a result, Mr. Sekiguchi was reappointed without any notification of candidacy other than Mr. Sekiguchi.



Mr. Sekiguchi is 69 years old after being elected to the Saitama constituency of the House of Councilors five times.



After working as a dentist and a member of the Saitama Prefectural Assembly, he was elected for the first time in the by-election of the House of Councilors in 2003. I am serving.
