Despite

the resignation of Mario Draghi

and a race for the September elections already underway, the government continues to manage current affairs, or rather urgent matters.

No way for the government to drop the Italians.

Over the past six months, Italy has managed to contain its debt and save more than fourteen billion euros.

This sum will therefore be put to use to provide a new boost to families and entrepreneurs who are suffering from a historic increase in prices - more than 8% in one year.

Inflation is at its highest level for more than 35 years in the peninsula.

VAT reductions

In addition to the 33 billion euros released in January to compensate for the loss of purchasing power, the 14 billion decree should make it possible to maintain aid already in place to pay for fuel, but also to add tax relief, in particular on fuel. 'eating.

Basic products like bread and pasta could be exempt from VAT.

It could also be reduced for fish and meat.

As for energy, heavy-consuming industries and low-income households would also be supported by the government to pay skyrocketing gas and electricity bills.

Measures to contain

the effects of the historic drought

affecting the country and those of the health crisis, which is still ongoing, could finally be included.

This new aid package is the final act of Mario Draghi's government, which goes around the crises to ensure the economic future of Italians and close the chapter before saying goodbye on September 25 and leaving Italy to the hands of his successor.
