This was announced by the head of the National Center for Defense Control of Russia, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev.

“In the coming days, SBU employees are planning to blow up containers with a chemically hazardous substance - hexane - with a total volume of more than 120 tons at the oil and fat plant,” Mizintsev said.

It is noted that as a result of undermining the tanks, a toxic cloud will be formed, which will spread over more than 10 km.

At the same time, all residential areas of Slovyansk and nearby settlements will be in the chemical damage zone.

The Russian Ministry of Defense advised residents of Slavyansk and nearby settlements to immediately take the necessary protective measures.

“The purpose of this provocation is, according to the already worked out scenario, to accuse the Russian Armed Forces and the formations of the DPR of supposedly indiscriminate strikes on potentially dangerous objects, followed by wide coverage in Ukrainian and Western media,” Mizintsev said.

The ministry called on the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to immediately influence Kyiv and "take effective measures to prevent this provocation."

Earlier, Mizintsev said that Ukrainian troops were planning to blow up the mined storage of radioactive and chemical waste in Konstantinovka.
