The Medical and Health Bureau has requested the designated transport service operators to appropriately adjust the frequency and route of the private car service according to the number and distribution of designated quarantine hotels and the number of arrivals in Hong Kong, so as to increase the delivery rate.
As the number of designated quarantine hotels has doubled to nearly 70 in the past 4 months, the Medical and Health Bureau has increased the number of free designated transportation routes from the airport to designated quarantine hotels to 18 since the beginning of July, with each route passing through 3 to 5 Hotels vary, and each drive will take no more than 2 hours.
On the other hand, all designated transportation service routes at the airport arrival hall have clear signs showing the designated quarantine hotels that the route goes to.

Passengers are required to use the designated quarantine hotel taxi services at their own expense, paying the fare and other applicable surcharges such as tunnel and luggage fees as per the meter.
The service hours of taxis in designated quarantine hotels are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. the next day.
Those arriving in Hong Kong who intend to take a taxi to the quarantine hotel at their own expense can notify the staff at the arrival hall after completing the immigration procedures and claim their luggage, and follow the instructions to wait and board the taxi at the designated quarantine hotel.
Taxi from designated quarantine hotels will only take arriving passengers from the airport to designated quarantine hotels, and will not take passengers to other places or other passengers.
At present, about 10 designated quarantine hotels arrange VIP limousine services at their own expense.
