Dieudonné Niangouna, 46, born in Brazzaville, was in 2007 the first author and director from sub-Saharan Africa invited to the Festival IN d'Avignon.

In 2013, he was the first artist of African origin associated with this largest theatrical event where his play "Fantôme" was presented in 2022.

Young, he was rocked by the poetry of Senghor and Sony Labou Tansi, but also terrorized by the civil wars in Congo.

Since then, he has devoted his life to theater and written part of the history of African theater as an author, actor and director.
