Good evening,

I hope you survived the weekend when it was hot but not too hot.

The drought continues and what that means for the groundwater level writes Mechthild Harting in the Monday edition of the Rhein-Main-Zeitung.

Another of many other our topics are the situation at the airport, harmony and a very special theater.

At the end of this Sunday, news and names from the region again.

Better than expected:

Even good news needs to be spread, and it should.

Here is one: At the beginning of the Hessian school holidays, the feared chaos at Frankfurt Airport did not materialize.

The Rhein-Main-Zeitung took a look around the airport, spoke to employees and passengers.

You can read what they said in the e-paper, on paper and on the Internet.

Seeing harmony:

The summer holidays in Hesse have just begun.

Football fans may already have their eyes on the end.

Because Eintracht will play in the Champions League from September 6th.

The rush for tickets will be enormous and many will go away empty-handed.

An alternative to going to the stadium is a football TV evening.

One or the other game will not be difficult to receive.

However, if you want to see all Eintracht games in the four Bundesliga, DFB Cup, Champions League and Supercup competitions, you have a hurdle in front of you: you need subscriptions to several TV providers.

Daniel Schleidt has put together who offers what and what it costs.

Talking about addiction:

“We are fully booked.” Many actors and theater makers would like to say that, but theater teacher Nora Staeger can do it.

She has inquiries until the end of September next year, from the region, from Germany, from abroad.

Staeger has been with RequiSiT, an improvisational theater from Hattersheim, since it was founded in 1995.

The actors in this theater are ex-addicts.

Companies book the troupe for workshops and seminars, and when they act, they usually do so in front of schoolchildren.

Andrea Diener reports what they experience during a performance and also what they can learn from it.

And

the Hessian state government also wants to set up an e-mail hotline for the gas crisis that citizens, municipalities and companies can contact +++ the Frankfurt magistrate has decided on the area next to the stadium as a possible location for a multifunctional hall +++ University medicine in Mainz reduced its deficit by around 40 percent to 38.9 million euros last year. According to the institution, the main reason why there is a deficit at all is the aging building structure with high maintenance and renovation costs.

Warm greetings from the editorial team
