Vacations aren't for everyone.

In all, 25 construction sites will take place between the beginning and the end of the summer on the roads of the Ile-de-France, indicates this Friday the direction of the roads of Ile-de-France (DiRIF) in a press release.

Among these projects, "the DiRIF is carrying out 14 pavement renovation operations, representing a length of approximately 44 km, i.e. a third more than in the summer of 2021", knowing that the non-concessionary national road network (RRN) of Ile-de-France has 1,300 km of roads.

Through these projects, the Dirif wants, among other things, to “guarantee the sustainability [of the infrastructures]” and “consolidate the safety conditions for users and road workers”.

And this work takes place in the summer for the simple and good reason that many Ile-de-France residents leave their region to go on vacation.

“Traffic is weakest in the middle of summer: it is then possible to reduce the number of open traffic lanes, or even to close an axis continuously, with much less significant impact on traffic. travel time”, argues the DiRIF.

Here is the list of axes closed for work:

  • The interior Francilienne (A104) and the RN2 towards the province, where a renovation operation of 15 km of roads requires a continuous closure of these two axes for 25 days, between August 1 and 25.

  • The outer RN184 at Villiers-Adam, for road renovation from 1 to 19 August.

  • The A6 motorway towards Paris between Évry and Wissous, for the renovation of roads and bridges from August 8 to 12.

  • The A14 motorway tunnel towards the province, for the renovation of the tunnel fire network from August 14 to 27.

  • The Nogent tunnel on the outer A86 motorway, for the renovation of the waterproofing and road surfaces of the tunnel from 1 to 19 August.

  • The RN6 in the direction of the province at the level of Tigery, for the renovation of roads from July 18 to 29.

  • The A1 motorway from the evening of August 8 to the morning of August 11, for the installation of the footbridge linking the Olympic Aquatic Center and the Stade de France in Saint-Denis.
