“Following the preliminary meeting that we had today (Friday), we will have an additional meeting with Mr. Shoigu and our Ukrainian friends in the coming days,” he told CNN Turk.

Akar also said that Turkey expects the parties to quickly send personnel to the coordination center in Istanbul, RIA Novosti reports.

“The overall coordination of the operation will be carried out from here,” he said.

Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that two documents were signed in Istanbul on July 22, which are aimed at solving the problems of supplying food and fertilizers to world markets.

He said that in accordance with the agreement signed by Russia, Turkey, UN representatives and Ukraine, a joint quadripartite coordination center is being created in Istanbul.
