“The Slovenian Foreign Ministry regrets the decision of the Russian government to once again include Slovenia in the list of unfriendly states, as it was first done in March 2022, which prohibits the employment of local employees in diplomatic missions,” the strategic communications service of the ministry said.

On July 22, the Russian government included Greece, Denmark, Slovenia, Croatia and Slovakia in the list of unfriendly countries.

According to the decree of the Russian government, unfriendly countries may be limited in their ability, up to a complete ban, to hire employees from among persons located on the territory of Russia in embassies, consulates and government agencies.
