Following a decision taken on July 19, the Authority indicated on its site to give its authorization to the acquisition of these two digital terrestrial television channels (TNT), noted AFP, confirming information from the Correspondence of the press.

However, the institution has not published the entire decision and specifies that it can be appealed.

This transaction is the result of the proposed merger between TF1 and M6, announced in May 2021.

French regulations limiting the number of national channels owned by the same group on DTT to seven, the two groups, owners of ten channels between them, had to part with three channels.

They have thus decided to return the frequency of Paris Première (which will be broadcast only on cable and satellite) and to initiate the sale of TFX and 6ter.

Altice Media presented Wednesday to Arcom, the audiovisual and digital regulator, its projects for these two channels.

According to Arthur Dreyfuss, CEO of the group, channel 11, because of its numbering, "will function as a gateway to the RMC/BFM universe" and will be "a 'friendly' generalist channel, 'anchored in reality' and "providing solutions on everyday issues".

Channel 22 will be "a positive family channel for well-being and good family living", described Stéphane Sallé de Chou, general manager of RMC Découverte and RMC Story, the group's two other generalist channels.
