“Ensure a change in the conditions of the preferential mortgage program by establishing that the interest rate on mortgage housing loans (loans) provided to citizens of the Russian Federation for the purchase of housing in the primary market under this program should be no more than 7% per annum during the entire loan term”, — specified in the message.

On June 22, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the signing of a resolution to reduce the mortgage rate to 7%.

Earlier, Izvestia reported that, according to the United Credit Bureau (OKB), the number of new mortgage loans increased by 75% - from 32.9 thousand in May to 57.5 thousand in June.
