The start is given in Castelnau-Magnoac (Hautes-Pyrénées), the village of scrum half and captain of the XV of France Antoine Dupont.

The finish is judged on a false flat in the Lot prefecture on a slope of around 5-6%, near the banks of the Lot.

“Sportingly speaking, there are no real difficulties,” said race director Thierry Gouvenou.

"But we saw last year in Libourne that nothing is ever decided in advance. At the end of the Tour, the adventurers can also have the last word".

The race crosses the Gers and the Tarn-et-Garonne, passing by the medieval bastide town of Lauzerte before entering the Lot via the village of Montcuq-en-Quercy-Blanc once popularized by singers because of its name.
