The English school has requested a review of the decision and is now in the process of providing the inspectorate with figures that can show that the targeted interest is large enough.

- Today, the school has a total of 457 students in the queue, of which 245 want to start already when the school opens in August 2023. This is more than a year before it is due to open, which is unusually strong numbers, says Jörgen Stenquist, vice president at IES.

Information that was not present at the time of refusal

This is information that, according to the school inspectorate, was not available at the time the decision on rejection was made.

According to them, the English school has not shown the number of students they want to start with and therefore the student forecast is not considered reliable and that there is currently no reason to change the decision.

- We have received a queue that shows interest from around 200 students and the school should have 600 students.

That in a place that has a relatively limited number of students, says Carin Clevesjö unit manager of the permit unit.

Despite the rejection, municipal councilor Robert Beronius (L) is positive - hear him in the clip.
