People's Power Acting Representative Kwon Seong-dong and the Democratic Party floor leader Park Hong-geun met today (22nd) at 10 am, chaired by National Assembly Speaker Kim Jin-pyo, and agreed on the composition of the members of the National Assembly for the second half of the year.



In the allocation of the standing committees, which was the biggest issue, the power of the people is in 7 places including the National Assembly operation, the Legislative and Judiciary Act, national defense, foreign affairs, information, administrative safety, and the Planning and Finance Committee. I have decided to take the chair of 11 committees including agriculture, forestry, livestock, food, marine and fisheries, industry, trade and resource small and medium venture companies, health and welfare, environmental labor, land transportation, women's family, and budget settlement special committee.



The ruling and opposition parties have decided to alternately assume the duties of the chairperson of the National Defense and Security Committee, which were key issues between the ruling and opposition parties at the end of the year.



The ruling party, People's Power, takes charge of the administrative and security committee, and the opposition party, the Democratic Party, takes over defense for one year first, and then takes turns.

The ruling and opposition parties also agreed to leave the legal response to the power dispute trial case raised against the abolition of the prosecution's investigative authority, the so-called 'complete inspection' bill, to the Speaker of the National Assembly and the first half of the Judiciary Committee, belonging to the Democratic Party, and the second half of the People's Power to not be involved. .



The Judicial Reform Special Committee, which was one of the issues, changed its name to the 'Special Committee on Reform of the Criminal Justice System' according to the previous provisional agreement, and the number of members was 12, and the Democratic Party was to be chaired by the same number of members of the ruling and opposition parties. .



The ruling and opposition parties also decided to establish a special political reform committee to review the abolition of the Judiciary Committee's self-examination authority and improve the interlocking proportional representation system.



The Political Reform Special Committee consists of 17 members, including 8 Democrats, 8 People's Power, and 1 non-negotiating group, and is chaired by the Democratic Party.



A special committee on pension reform will also be formed to discuss reform measures such as pension financial stability and the four major public pensions.



It is made up of 13 members, including 6 Democratic Party members, 6 people power, and 1 non-negotiating group, and the chairperson is the power of the people.



The two special committees operate until April 30, next year.



As the negotiations are concluded, the ruling and opposition parties plan to hold a plenary session at 2 pm today to decide on the election of the standing chairperson, the name change of the Judicial Reform Special Committee, and the establishment of the Political Reform Special Committee and the Pension Reform Special Committee.



The plenary session for bill processing, etc. is scheduled to be held on the 2nd of next month.
