China News Service, Changchun, July 22 (Li Dan) Changguang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Changguang Satellite Company"), which has been established for 7 years, has put 54 "Jilin-1" satellites into space orbit.

This number is far from enough. The company plans to continue to complete the launch of more than 30 satellites in the second half of this year.

Wang Dong, deputy general manager of Changguang Satellite Corporation, revealed the above plan in an interview with the media in Changchun recently.

Changguang Satellite Company is China's first commercial remote sensing satellite company.

In October 2015, the company successfully launched China's first self-developed commercial high-resolution remote sensing satellite, "Jilin-1".

At present, the in-orbit "Jilin-1" satellite constitutes China's largest commercial remote sensing satellite constellation, which can revisit 18-20 times a day to any location in the world.

Changguang Satellite Company said that by coordinating user needs, it has provided efficient and high-quality remote sensing information services to the government, schools, enterprises and the general public, creating good social and economic benefits.

At the same time, relying on core key technologies such as "space-borne integration", the company has established a complete industrial chain from satellite R&D and production to the provision of remote sensing information services.

In the "Jilin-1" satellite constellation, there is an optical remote sensing satellite - "Jilin-1" optical A satellite, which is called the first generation satellite within Changguang Satellite Company.

The satellite is a "big guy" weighing 420kg.

After continuous summary in the research and development practice, by 2019, the weight of the third-generation satellite Gaofen-03A has dropped to 40kg, and the cost of a single satellite has dropped to one-tenth of the first-generation satellite.

Wang Dong said that the company is currently developing the fourth-generation technology, and the weight and cost of the satellite will be further reduced.

"With the continuous leap of development technology, the performance of satellites will continue to improve, the volume will become smaller and smaller, and the launch cost will be reduced, which can greatly promote the networking process."

Jia Hongguang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Changguang Satellite Company, introduced that the Jilin Provincial Department of Science and Technology has conducted research on "Research on Reconfigurable Technology of Distributed Control Moment Gyroscope for Jilin-1 Ultra-Agile Satellite" and "Intelligent Processing Technology of High-resolution Optical Satellites in Orbit" ” and other 15 key scientific and technological research projects have given support, helping the company to break through a number of key core technologies that restrict the development of the satellite industry, and cultivate a group of high-end talents.

According to the plan of Changguang Satellite Company, the network of 138 "Jilin-1" satellites will be completed during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, with the ability to revisit any location in the world within 10 minutes. Relying on the Aerospace Information Industrial Park, it will gradually build a satellite R&D, production and data application development as the core of the industrial cluster.

"Following our company, many domestic commercial satellite companies involved in remote sensing, communication, navigation and other fields have also sprung up. Now, the development trend of China's commercial aerospace projects is very good." Jia Hongguang said.
