After examining the bill on purchasing power, the deputies will now vote on the amending finance bill.

On the program: abolition of the audiovisual license fee, taxation of the superprofits of large groups or limitation of fuel prices... Enough to provoke many heated debates in the hemicycle.

After examining the bill on purchasing power, the deputies are preparing to vote on the amending finance bill.

Several hot topics will be debated in the hemicycle.

It is therefore a new pass of arms which is about to begin in the National Assembly.

The abolition of the audiovisual license fee in question

Starting with the abolition of the audiovisual license fee.

138 euros less to pay for households that have a television, Emmanuel Macron makes it a campaign promise, but the deputies of the Left Alliance, worried about the independence of the public media, are fiercely opposed to it.

Another point of tension, and not the least, the question of the taxation of the superprofits of large groups.

The deputies of the Nupes as of the National Rally (RN) are favorable to it while the parliamentarians of the presidential camp are far from all in agreement.

A dozen Renaissance deputies are proposing, for example, to introduce a 15% tax on the profits of oil and gas companies and the maritime transport of goods.

This is against the advice of the government.

Reduction of VAT on basic necessities?

And the debates promise to be just as heated about limiting the rise in fuel prices, even if the Republicans and the presidential majority could finally reach an agreement to extend the rebate and increase it from 18 to 30 cents from September .

Finally, the elected officials of the RN and the left alliance hope to reduce or even eliminate VAT on a certain number of basic necessities.

For the executive, the tax battle has only just begun.
