Today, Thursday, at 2 pm, Linköping District Court announces the verdict for the three accused men, who are aged 19, 21 and 26 years.

The prosecutor is demanding a prison sentence

On July 12, the trial ended in Linköping District Court.

During the three days it lasted, the prosecutor had demanded that all the men be sentenced to prison.

- I mean that the penalty for the act is over four years in prison, and I demand that these three people be sentenced to prison, the prosecutor said then.

The prosecutor believes that the 21-year-old should receive a higher punishment than the other two because he has been more active during the course of events.

The penalty scale for gross sabotage against blue light activities is a minimum of two years and up to life imprisonment.

A total of 25 police officers were injured

According to the prosecutor, the violence consisted of an extensive stone-throwing, kicks and blows during the Easter Sunday, April 17 in Skäggetorp.

Police also got fireworks and bangers hurled at them.

A total of 25 police officers have stated that they were injured in connection with the incident.

During the first day of the trial, all the accused denied the crimes they have been charged with.

The three have admitted that they have been at the scene during the riot, but say that they were not active in the riots themselves.

The 26-year-old has admitted that he threw two stones at a police car in pure frustration.

The defense lawyer for the 19-year-old

Hans Orrenius represents the 19-year-old who is one of the three men who are accused of gross sabotage against blue light activities.

He claims that his client is innocent.

- He should not be convicted of anything, and this horrible story should end for him, Hans Orrenius said during the last day of the trial.
