He came to music because he couldn't help it, he says.

I remember going to school and making up melodies

My teachers -he studied at the Salesianos de Estrecho- told my parents that I could have a career there».
«I arrived late [at the Conservatory, at the age of 12] but, as I really wanted to, in two years I took five courses out of the way».
From the beginning it was clear to him that he not only wanted to interpret the songs of others and, at only 19, at that time when he dropped by the Faculty of Musical Teaching, he started to compose.
But with a fatherhood that came too soon, perhaps, he had to broaden his horizons, and he
jumped from tour to tour

Meanwhile, he learned orchestra conducting, studied jazz and everything that fell into his hands - he plays almost all the instruments.
