Two police officers were injured on Wednesday in Lyon, after being attacked by around fifty individuals who wanted to prevent them from arresting the author of a necklace theft, learns

The facts took place in the Guillotière district, in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon, around 7:25 p.m.

The police, who were patrolling the neighborhood, wanted to arrest a man suspected of having stolen a necklace a few minutes earlier.

As they tried to handcuff him, about fifty people approached them and wanted to intervene.
