Since 2021, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has guided ecological and environmental departments at all levels across the country to strengthen normalized supervision, and 265 units and 217 people with problems such as the quality of EIA document preparation have been included in the EIA "blacklist" or a deadline for rectification.
The ecological environment department handed over 29 environmental impact assessment documents to the local ecological environment department for investigation and punishment according to law in four batches.
Local ecological and environmental departments have stepped up law enforcement. According to incomplete statistics, more than 50 cases of serious quality environmental impact assessment documents have been investigated and dealt with in accordance with the law, with a fine of more than 14 million yuan.

Relying on the data information of the EIA credit platform, a quarterly early warning mechanism for the abnormal situation of the EIA personnel has been established, and 142 EIA personnel have been warned in batches to the local ecological environment department, the proportion of reviewing the EIA documents prepared by them has been increased, and the relevant EIA units have been targeted. To spot checks and on-site supervision.
