Hit and run: Police are investigating against Feldmann

The police have initiated an investigation against Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann (SPD) for hit and run.

The reason is the accident in mid-July in the Kalbach district, in which a parked car was damaged.

First, the police checked who was behind the wheel and whether the offense of hit-and-run was fulfilled.

This is also usually the case when the perpetrator leaves a note with his name on the damaged car, as Feldmann allegedly did.

He is said to have later sent his driver to the scene of the accident.

A spokesman for Feldmann confirmed to the FAZ at the time that the mayor had caused the body damage with the company car and was trying to regulate it.
