James Howard Jackson, the man accused of assaulting a Lady Gaga employee to kidnap two of the star's dogs, was mistakenly released on April 6.
He has been actively sought by the American police since Wednesday.
A reward of up to 5,000 dollars, or just over 4,900 euros, is promised for any information leading to his capture, announced in a press release the US Marshals, the American agency responsible for prosecuting the fugitives.
The release of the 19-year-old is due to an administrative error.
Half a million dollar reward
He had been charged with “attempted murder” and “theft” along with two other individuals.
They were suspected of shooting Lady Gaga's employee who was walking her three French bulldogs.
The perpetrators then seized two of the animals, named Koji and Gustav.
Their famous mistress was then in Italy for the filming of
House of Gucci

She had offered half a million dollars (about 490,000 euros) in reward for the return of her dogs.
A woman had brought them back but she was arrested shortly after.
