Biden's doctor reveals the symptoms of his illness .. and the result of the first lady's test is negative

US President Joe Biden's doctor, who has Covid-19, revealed the symptoms that the 79-year-old president is facing, after he tested positive for the Corona virus today, Thursday.

And the coordinator of the Corona virus at the White House, Dr. Ashish Jha, told CNN that Biden did not have a fever Thursday morning, explaining that he had a runny nose, a dry cough and felt some fatigue.

With regard to the first lady, Jill Biden confirmed that she tested negative for the Corona virus Thursday morning.

"I spoke to Joe Biden a few minutes ago," she told reporters in Detroit. "He's fine and feeling better."

This is the first time Biden's test has shown a positive result for COVID-19.

His last negative test was on Tuesday.

And the White House press secretary, Karen Jean-Pierre, said that Biden “began to take Paxlovid,” an antiviral drug produced by Pfizer, explaining that, according to CDC guidelines, he will be isolated in the White House.

Biden received the first two doses of the Pfizer/Biontech vaccine against Covid-19, before his inauguration in January 2021, and the first booster dose he received in September and the second booster vaccine on March 30.

Given his age, Biden faces an increased risk of worsening his infection with Covid-19, although the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that older adults who are fully vaccinated and boosted significantly reduce their risk of hospitalization and death.
