Since the strike at Paris airports in early July, tens of thousands of pieces of luggage have been left behind, much to the chagrin of the holidaymakers concerned.

Air France says all the goods have been rerouted, except the airline means the luggage left Roissy airport.

Some French people are now on vacation, but some are still waiting for their luggage.

This is one of the consequences of the strike by staff at Paris airports, which notably affected Roissy on July 1st.

Since then, 35,000 pieces of luggage have remained outstanding.

They have all been rerouted, swears the Minister of Transport Clément Beaune.

Except that this does not necessarily mean that the passengers have recovered their belongings, since by "rerouted baggage", Air France means "baggage having left Roissy".

A ruined vacation

Kenza thus took off on July 1 for Punta Cana.

She returned eight days later to France.

Since then, still no news of his redirected suitcase.

"Honestly, I find that really unacceptable," protests the student.

"They ruined a vacation that we had been waiting for for more than a year. Personally, I had literally put my entire wardrobe in my suitcase," she explains.

"It's been more than a week that my work-study/student bank account has had a huge hole. I can't buy clothes right away, so I have to wait and that's why I literally feel naked."

“I still don’t know if I will be reimbursed”

Yannis was also on board this flight, and has been fighting since he returned to France to recover his 20 kilos of rerouted luggage.

"Even yesterday during the day, I called to find out how it was going to happen. No one was able to answer me," he laments.

“Luggage service, commercial service, complaint/reimbursement service: I called all three”, details Yannis.

"It's been 18 days now and I still don't know if I'll be reimbursed, how high, how it's going to be for my suitcase, for everything in it."

Contacted, the Air France company indicated on Tuesday "to regret this situation" and specifies that all the luggage has left the Roissy platform.
