The Director of the Municipality of Dibba Al Hisn City, affiliated to Sharjah, Talib Abdullah Al Yahyai, ​​stated that the Department of Agriculture and Public Hygiene, represented by the Pest Control Department, carried out 250 campaigns to combat insects, scorpions, snakes, loose animals and rodents during the first half of this year.

He stressed that the Pest Control Department implemented a large number of activities aimed at protecting the city's residents from health pests, noting that the campaigns included pest control inside homes and government facilities, and waste containers.

The operations department in the municipality, represented by the Food Control Department, was able to seize and confiscate 847 kilograms of food unfit for human consumption, and issued 52 violations for restaurants and food stores that did not apply the laws and health procedures in force.

It issued 214 warnings to non-compliant establishments during the first half of this year.

Al Yahyai said that the Municipality's Operations Department, represented by the Veterinary Services Department, carried out 1,515 inspection tours, during which it issued 17 warnings to facilities related to the department's work, such as butcheries and poultry and fish markets.

Four violations were issued during the same period, to ensure that these facilities operate within the required conditions and instructions.
