“As for monkeypox, almost 14,000 confirmed cases of the disease from more than 70 countries and territories have been reported to the WHO this year,” RIA Novosti quotes him as saying at a briefing.
He clarified that five deaths from the disease have been registered so far, all deaths have been recorded in Africa.
