The Israeli Chief of Staff visits a Moroccan army base

Today, Wednesday, the Israeli Chief of Staff, Aviv Kohavi, visited the Ben Jarir Air Base in Morocco and met with its commander, Hassan Mehwar.

He also conducted a visit to the Paratroopers Brigade in the Moroccan army and spoke with leaders in the unit, in addition to visiting Jewish sites in Morocco.

Yesterday, Tuesday, Kohavi arrived in Rabat, on the first official visit to the Kingdom by an Israeli military official of this level.

Kohavi met with a number of senior officials in the kingdom, during his visit, which will last until Thursday, and discussed with them opportunities to enhance military cooperation, "whether in training or in the operational and intelligence fields," according to a statement by the Israeli army.
