The head of Ingushetia: Evkurov's nephew, who died in Ukraine, was awarded the title of Hero of Russia

This was announced in his Telegram channel by the head of the Republic of Ingushetia, Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov.

“For courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Captain Adam Khamkhoev was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation posthumously,” he said.

Earlier, the government of Ingushetia reported that Khamkhoev died in Ukraine on the night of May 20-21, he was buried in Ingushetia.

The report stated that Yunus-Bek Yevkurov was present at the funeral of Khamkhoev.

As the head of Ingushetia noted, Khamkhoev was the commander of an airborne assault company.

According to Kalimatov, Yevkurov's nephew was characterized "as a brilliant officer and competent commander."
