Russia: Luck prevents catastrophe after Ukrainian rallies attacked a nuclear plant

The director of the Defense Management Center of the Russian Defense Ministry, Mikhail Mizntsev, confirmed on Wednesday that the Kyiv regime's provocations against Ukraine's nuclear power facilities are continuing.

Mizintsev said at a press briefing that an attack by Ukrainian drones on the nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye would have caused a disaster, had it not been for "good luck".

“On July 18, the Ukrainian ultra-nationalist formations, using two (kamikaze) marches, attacked facilities on the territory of the Zaporozhye NPP (one of the marches was destroyed as it approached the nuclear power plant). Only fortunately, this did not lead to the Damage to the plant’s equipment and a human catastrophe.”

According to Mizintsev, Russia once again calls on the United Nations, the International Atomic Energy Agency and other international organizations "to influence official Kyiv and take effective measures to prevent provocations at dangerous radioactive installations in Ukraine."

The Russian Armed Forces have continued, since February 24, to carry out a special military operation to protect the Donbass region, southeast of Ukraine.

On March 25, the Russian Armed Forces completed the main tasks of the first phase of the special military operation in Ukraine;

It significantly limited the capabilities and combat capabilities of the Ukrainian forces.
