President Yoon Seok-yeol presided over an emergency economic livelihood meeting to stabilize the housing of the common people at a permanent rental complex in Bundang, Gyeonggi-do.

President Yoon pointed out that the burden of housing costs for low-income earners, including the burden of cheonsei, is increasing due to the rise in interest rates.

As part of the countermeasures, he promised to freeze the interest rate on the mortgage loan funds until the end of the year, and to increase the limit on the cheonsei loan for young newlyweds.

In particular, he said that charter fraud was rampant, and he ordered the police to set up a task force to crack down on charter fraud.

[President Seok-Yeol Yoon: Crimes that threaten people's livelihood, such as charter fraud, will be punished through a strong investigation.]

He repeatedly emphasized the need to revise the 3 rental law introduced by the last government.

[President Seok-Yeol Yoon: It is time for social discussion on the amendment of the lease law.

The government will actively participate in this discussion, hoping that it will become a public debate centering on the National Assembly.]

It is interpreted as a remark conscious of the growing concern about the cheonsei market as the number of households with the right to apply for contract renewal expires in the second year of the Lease Act.

President Yoon emphasized that for fundamental real estate market stabilization, it is necessary not only to take measures at the government level, but also to vitalize the supply of housing through the private sector.
