The proposal was handed over to Prime Minister Kishida at the Prime Minister's Office on the 20th by Akihiko Tanaka, the chairman of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, who chairs the Council of Experts.



The proposal points out that the interests of the ocean are exposed to an unprecedented threat due to the repeated invasion of public vessels by the China Coast Guard around the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa Prefecture, which is an unforeseen situation. We are calling for strengthening cooperation between the Japan Coast Guard and the Maritime Self-Defense Force in order to prevent this from happening.
