Analysis of satellite images revealed that a model similar to the Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircraft operated by the Self-Defense Forces, installed in the desert area of inland China, had been destroyed by the middle of this month.

The model appears to have been set up by the Chinese military as a target for training with missiles, and experts point out that it also aims to restrain Japan.

The satellite photograph was taken by the American satellite company "Planet Loves" in the desert area of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China, and as of May 13, there was something like a runway, like an aircraft. I saw multiple objects installed.

Kinichi Nishimura, a former information analyst and military analyst of the Ministry of Defense, pointed out that the central one seems to be a model of AWACS operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, an airborne early warning and control aircraft.

AWACS is also known as a "flying radar site" with a large disk-like radar.

According to Mr. Nishimura, the place where the model was installed seems to be a training ground for the Chinese army's missile launch experiment, so it is analyzed that the model was installed as a target for training using missiles by the Chinese army. I did.

After that, when we analyzed the satellite image taken at the same place on the 13th of this month, it was confirmed that the model in the center was destroyed and it looked like it was burnt black and that things like debris were scattered around. rice field.

Regarding this, Mr. Nishimura says that although it may have been destroyed as a target of attack training using missiles, it is not possible to confirm after the missile has landed, so it is unknown whether the missile was actually hit.

As for the reason for destroying the model, "In the event of a Taiwan emergency, China's biggest dislike is that the Japan Air Self-Defense Force will carry out air operations. If Japan intervenes in the event of a Taiwan emergency, he will not hesitate to attack and points out that he has the aim of restraining him.
