He said this while commenting on the US State Department's statement that China would pay dearly if it helped Russia circumvent sanctions.

“China has always adhered to objectivity and impartiality in the Ukrainian issue, stood on the side of peace and justice, we strongly oppose any unfounded suspicions, threats and pressure against China,” RIA Novosti quoted the diplomat as saying.

Earlier, the head of the press service of the State Department, Ned Price, said that a possible circumvention of anti-Russian sanctions or the provision of weapons by China to Russia would be “expensive” for Beijing.

According to him, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Bali as part of the G20 summit, has already conveyed such a "signal" to the Chinese side.
