A Palestinian youth was injured after Israeli security guards shot him for allegedly stabbing a settler in the settlement of Ramot in occupied Jerusalem, while the Israeli occupation army bombed a monitoring site belonging to the Palestinian resistance east of the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.
Israeli sources reported that the condition of the settler - who is 41 years old - is serious, while the health status of the Palestinian youth was not clear.
The sources added that the Palestinian youth stabbed the settler inside an Israeli bus in Ramot settlement.
Al-Jazeera correspondent Guevara Al-Budairi said that large forces of the Israeli police and border guards arrived at the site of the operation near the Ramot commercial complex, and began investigating the background of the incident.
For his part, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem confirmed that the stabbing operation in Jerusalem was a natural response to the occupation's crimes against Islamic and Christian holy sites in the city.
Qassem indicated in a press statement that this act of resistance confirms once again the failure of all attempts to stop the escalation of the act of resistance in the occupied West Bank and the city of Jerusalem.

Israeli bombing
In the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army bombed a monitoring site belonging to the Palestinian resistance in the town of Beit Hanoun (north). The bombing caused damage to the target site, but no injuries were reported.
Eyewitnesses in the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip said that Israeli warplanes fired several missiles at a Hamas security site.
For his part, the spokesman of the Israeli occupation army, Avichai Adraei, said that a plane attacked a Hamas site in the northern Gaza Strip in response to shooting from Gaza today, Tuesday, at an industrial building in the settlement of Netiv Hasara near the Strip.
No Palestinian party has claimed responsibility for the shooting.
The bombing came 3 days after an Israeli bombardment against targets in the Gaza Strip, in response to the firing of 4 rockets from the Strip towards Israel.
The missiles were launched the day after US President Joe Biden visited Israel and the occupied West Bank, where he met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
