A draft ban on the display of materials promoting non-traditional relations has been submitted to the State Duma

The explanatory note to the draft refers to the need to “establish measures aimed at ensuring the intellectual, moral and mental security of society, including in the form of a ban on actions aimed at popularizing the denial of family values ​​and non-traditional sexual relations.” 

Earlier, the State Duma proposed to introduce a complete ban on propaganda of non-traditional relations in the media, the Internet and cinema.

According to the head of the Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications Alexander Khinshtein, it is proposed to establish administrative responsibility for such propaganda by expanding Art.

6.21 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Now it speaks only of appropriate propaganda among minors.
