On July 16, local time, the Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning U.S. officials and individuals who support terrorist organizations and updated the relevant sanctions list.

According to the statement, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs listed some U.S. officials and individuals who deliberately supported and assisted in the promotion of the "People's Mujahideen", a terrorist-related organization based on human rights violations and U.S. terrorist acts in the region.

The statement pointed out that in recent decades, the "People's Mujahideen" has committed numerous terrorist crimes, resulting in the death of more than 17,000 innocent civilians, including women and children. Despite this, the U.S. government continues to support the organization and fight against terrorism. There is always a hypocritical double standard on the issue.

In view of this, Iran updated the sanctions list and called on all countries to take appropriate measures against those on the list.

It is understood that the list includes 61 people including former US Secretary of State Pompeo, US Republican Rudy Giuliani, US politician Joe Lieberman, and former US Senator Robert Torricelli.
