The US President leaves Saudi Arabia after a two-day visit

US President Joe Biden left Saudi Arabia today, Saturday, after a two-day visit to the Kingdom, during which he participated in the "Jeddah Summit for Security and Development", with nine leaders of Arab countries, for the first time.

The Emir of the Makkah region, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, bid farewell to the US President and his accompanying delegation at King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah.

Biden concluded in Jeddah his first Middle East tour as president of the United States, which also included Israel and the Palestinian territories.


The Jeddah Security and Development Summit witnessed talks and meetings at a bilateral level regarding Saudi-American relations.

Biden had met earlier today, the leaders of the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in addition to the leaders of Egypt, Jordan and Iraq, during the Security and Development Summit in Jeddah, the last leg of his Middle East tour.

In his speech during the summit, the US President stressed that the United States will remain an effective and cooperative partner in the Middle East.

Biden stressed that America is seeking to impose restrictions on the nuclear program, noting that the United States is committed to Iran not obtaining a nuclear weapon.

The US President indicated that his country will not allow foreign powers to jeopardize global freedom of navigation through the waterways in the Middle East.

In his speech during the Jeddah summit, the US President made it clear that the US administration has given its priorities to freedom of navigation in the Middle East, through cooperation with countries in the region, and the use of modern technologies.
