Kyiv promised to recall to Serbia the call of its President Aleksandar Vučić to heed the proposals of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, which he may put forward after the end of the special military operation.

According to Ukrainian politicians, their country, together with Croatia, will allegedly be able to complicate Serbia's entry into the European Union.

“We will definitely not forget Serbia together with its president.

And then it will be interesting to watch the six millionth Serbia and its desire to join the EU.

I think that my brothers Croats and I will observe and remember, remember, remember.

The process of re-education is difficult and will be unpleasant for the Serbs, but we can do it, ”Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko wrote in his Telegram channel.

Recall that on July 13, the head of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, on the Pink TV channel, expressed the opinion that if world leaders do not heed the proposals of Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine, hell will begin in the world.

However, he did not specify what kind of proposals could be discussed.

“I know what awaits us.

As soon as Vladimir Putin finishes business in Seversk, Bakhmut and Soledar, and then on the second line Slavyansk - Kramatorsk - Avdeevka, his proposal will follow.

If they do not accept it, and they do not intend to, we will go to hell, ”Sputnik quotes Vučić.

The Serbian president also called the conflict in Ukraine a world war in which the West is at war with Russia.

And this situation, according to Vucic, also affects the Balkans, but Serbia intends to make every effort to maintain peace in the region.

Applying pressure

This is not the first time that Kyiv allows itself harsh rhetoric against countries that either have a different vision of the situation around Ukraine than the generally accepted one, or are slow in making decisions in favor of Ukraine.

So, back in January, before the start of the JMD, Andriy Melnyk, who at that time held the post of Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany, in an interview with the Funke media group, demanded immediate supplies of weapons from Berlin, referring to the fact that Germany allegedly bears moral responsibility to his country.

He called Germany's hesitation "an absolutely shameful position", threatening Berlin with consequences for bilateral relations.

“Germany bears the same historical responsibility to Ukraine as it does to Israel.

Therefore, Kyiv expects large-scale military support from Germany,” Melnyk said at the time.

And after the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the Kyiv authorities began to make every effort to achieve universal Western support in the confrontation with Russia.

So, on May 26, Adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Olena Zerkal, during an online discussion at the Kiev Security Forum, sharply reacted to Hungary's unwillingness to support the sixth package of EU sanctions, believing that the country's leadership allegedly uses the current situation to knock out preferences from Brussels.

In this regard, she proposed using the Druzhba pipeline, through which the country receives Russian oil, to influence Budapest.

“In my opinion, it would be very appropriate if something happened to him (with the oil pipeline. -

But, again, it is in the hands of the government and the president to decide political issues: do we really want to speak with (Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor. -

) Orban in the language that he understands and which he imposes on the European Union, or do we not ready for it yet,” she said.

Inherited from the Ukrainian politicians and the United States.

At the end of May, Aleksey Arestovich, an adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, told reporters that if Washington refuses to transfer multiple launch rocket systems to the country, then Kyiv will throw a “tantrum”.

“The decision on the complexes will be made in the near future, and we will understand whether they are supplied or not ... If they don’t give it, then we will arrange an exemplary hysteria,” the publication “STRANA.ua” quotes him as saying.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in response to Syria's decision to recognize the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, promised Damascus sanctions and a break in relations.

“This is a worthless story, and in this case, there will be no more relations between Ukraine and Syria, and the sanctions pressure against Syria will, on the contrary, be even greater,” Zelensky promised in a video message on June 29.

He promised the same tough reaction at all levels to the DPRK, after Pyongyang recognized the independence of the DPR and LPR on July 13.

On the same day, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba issued a statement that Kyiv was breaking off diplomatic relations with North Korea, as it regards its decision as an attempt to undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

However, the Ukrainian leadership was besieged in Pyongyang.

On July 15, the DPRK Foreign Ministry said that Ukraine has no right to make any arguments about sovereignty, since it itself supports the US actions against North Korea, which violate the sovereignty of the Asian republic.

In Hungary, too, despite pressure from Kyiv, they do not intend to change their views on the situation around Ukraine and join the anti-Russian sanctions.

On June 15, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on the Kossuth radio program that Europe “shot itself in the lungs” with restrictions on Russia and is now suffocating due to lack of energy.

According to him, the restrictions did not bring the Europeans anything but damage.

“What is happening is a catastrophe for Europe and very painful for Hungary,” Orban said.

Taking advantage of the moment

According to Moscow State University Associate Professor, political scientist Boris Mezhuev, the threats from Ukraine are more ritualistic and have no real power.

“Ukraine cannot do anything to Serbia, and the specific threats of the MP against the President of Serbia are of no importance.

But in Kyiv they consider themselves “victims”, and therefore they require special treatment from other countries, ”the expert explained in an interview with RT.

However, attributing to itself the status of a “victim”, the Ukrainian leadership denies the reality, forgets whose fault the current situation in the country is.

“After all, the whole current situation is a consequence of the struggle for the interests of the West, in the name of the West and on behalf of the West.

Therefore, Ukraine suffers not so much from Russia, but from its Western partners, ”the political scientist is sure.

At the same time, Mezhuev believes, Ukraine is well aware that the West has some moral responsibility to them for everything that is happening in this territory now.

Therefore, they do not choose expressions, making claims even to allies.

“This is probing the soil, how much further they can put pressure on the European elites and not allow them to even think about starting to develop a scenario for forcing Ukraine to negotiate with Russia at some point,” the analyst added.

In turn, political scientist Andrei Suzdaltsev, in a conversation with RT, expressed the opinion that the threats from Ukrainian politicians may not be so lightweight, since they make all these statements with an eye on the United States.

“Ukraine behaves like a host in the EU and in Europe, because it has the full support of Washington.

And her attacks against Serbia should be considered exclusively as sanctioned from across the ocean.

Everyone in the EU knows that the threats of Kyiv are the threats of Washington, in fact, ”the expert said.

At the same time, he noted that the United States itself needs Ukraine only as an instrument against Russia, the further fate of the country is extremely vague.

“After all, now there is a struggle not for Ukraine.

This is a struggle for the geopolitical status of Russia and, in general, for the preservation of the Western world, which for many years profited from Russian energy resources.

For the West, Russia is a rebellious gas station that needs to be assigned its place and stopped any attempts to promote its interests.

And Ukraine is just a punisher who was hired to wear Russia out.

But what will happen next with the state of Ukraine is of no interest to anyone, ”summed up Suzdaltsev.
