Columnist Ben Wolfgang writes about this for The Washington Times.

The author cites data published by Reuters that Saudi Arabia doubled imports of Russian fuel oil in the second quarter of this year in order to provide power plants with electricity to meet summer cooling demand and release its own oil for export.

“A significant increase in energy supplies from Russia has undermined the efforts of the United States and NATO to weaken Moscow by reducing its export earnings,” the observer emphasized.

He expressed confidence that if Biden manages to convince the leaders of Saudi Arabia to increase production and purchases of energy carriers, Russia will continue to earn on the sale of oil and gas to the Middle Eastern countries, thereby "reaping the benefits" of the agreements between Washington and Riyadh.

In May, the American publication Politico wrote that the attempts of the United States authorities to isolate Russia from the international community are doomed to failure because of the position of other states.
