U.S. entrepreneur Elon Musk set out to investigate how the US Securities and Exchange Commission did not revise the disclosure documents to the authorities over how the acquisition of social media giant Twitter was withdrawn. It became clear on the 14th.

Elon Musk, CEO and entrepreneur of American electric car maker Tesla, has agreed to buy Twitter for a total of $ 44 billion, about 6 trillion yen in Japanese yen, but plans on the 8th of this month I told the Twitter side that I would withdraw.

Under these circumstances, it was revealed in a document released on the 14th that the US Securities and Exchange Commission had embarked on an investigation of Mr. Musk over the circumstances of withdrawing the acquisition.

It raises the issue that Mr. Musk did not amend the disclosure documents to the authorities, even though he had suggested suspending or withdrawing the acquisition as of May.

The Securities and Exchange Commission sent a letter to Mr. Musk on the 2nd of last month asking him to revise the disclosure documents to the authorities.

In response, Mr. Musk returned a letter on the 7th of last month, explaining that there were no significant changes to the acquisition plan at the time of the tweet, which the authorities are concerned about.

Authorities are also investigating that Mr. Musk did not report a large shareholding on time when he acquired Twitter shares.
