At 01:00 on Friday night, negotiations between SAS and the pilot unions were suspended, and then resumed on Friday morning.

The parties have not yet reached a solution and yesterday's announcement from SAS about possible measures as a result of the strike is interpreted by flight analyst Jan Ohlsson as a threat to the pilots.

- The only party that has made an indirect statement is SAS, which yesterday said that it must cut back as a result of the strike.

This usually has to be done during a reconstruction as well.

It would indicate that you want to remove aircraft and routes, he says and continues:

- If you remove aircraft, you also remove pilots.

"Pilots should not be a target"

He believes that SAS has the whole problem of the growing mountain of debt in front of it and that the strike is only part of it - but not the main problem.

- The pilots probably do not want to be the target.

Which they should not be, they are a small part of the problem.

The weekend is approaching

Although it does not look bright now, SAS may have an interest in speeding up calls on Friday, according to Jan Ohlsson.

- The weekend is important for charter passengers and SAS has very many passengers this weekend.

It is a very big loss if they can not fly, he says.

- It is really up to evidence today otherwise we will probably have to wait, nothing will happen until Tuesday or Wednesday.
