in Frankfurt on Thursday evening the city councilors initiated the voting out of mayor Peter Feldmann (SPD).

At the time, the fire brigade in Wiesbaden had recovered from an operation in unusually impassable terrain, and visitors to a concert in Darmstadt experienced a rapper from his gentle side.

At the end of the day an overview of what is happening in Rhein-Main, today again with a recommendation for the weekend.

Fire:

In Wiesbaden it was a nightmare scenario on Thursday night: a fire at the Platte hunting lodge, which was clearly visible from the city.

This area is not easy to reach at all for the fire brigade, which sometimes had to bring their equipment up the hill on foot.

The firefighters did not initially find the fire at the top, anyone who knows the area can imagine that.

The flames were then localized behind a hilltop after an hour.

There has also been a fire in the Offenbach district, several times in the past few days, which is a nightmare for the voluntary fire brigades in the district.

There were 19 fires in the Heusenstamm forest alone last weekend, smaller fires were added during the week, and the firefighters, who are all employed, work on the verge of exhaustion.

Grief:

Actress Monica Bellucci was once asked in an interview what she was afraid of.

She replied that it is what every parent dreads, so she tries not to think about it.

That something could happen to the child: terrible.

For some parents, loss occurs before, during, or shortly after birth when the babies die before they have had a chance to be on earth for a few days.

Parents of these so-called star children often do not know what to do with their grief, writes FAZ employee Katharina Tümmler.

She has met women who have been pregnant and then have to live without the child and written about how they deal with their loss.

Change:

From rap to chanson: It works, and how well it works, Danger Dan, real name Daniel Pongratz, the rapper from the Antilopen Gang, showed in Darmstadt on Wednesday evening at the Messplatz in Darmstadt.

"It's all covered by artistic freedom," is the name of his album, which was released a year ago and was quite successful.

The concert in Darmstadt gave an impression of why.

If you want to know how it was: The Rhein-Main-Zeitung was there and reported, on paper and, as always, digitally.

And

since the start of data collection for the new property tax between July 1st and October 31st, 110,000 property owners in Hesse have submitted a declaration electronically +++ Frankfurt Airport expects peak traffic of 200,000 a day in the next few days, what around 75 percent of the pre-crisis level in the same period +++ is the writer Dörte Hansen the new Mainz town clerk and she will read from the book one day before the publication of her third novel entitled “Zur See” on September 27 in Mainz .

Warm greetings from the editorial team

The tip for the weekend

July 14, 2022

The popular wine tavern of Ernst Stettler and his wife Ute in the high-altitude wine village of Hallgarten has undergone a wondrous metamorphosis: from late autumn to spring it remains in the warm and family-run tavern.

The rest of the time, Stettler's sister Barbara runs the "Café Feinherb" together with Sonja Seibt.

The two have fulfilled a dream with their restaurant and want to spoil their guests with fine cakes and tarts.
