All the communities, except the Canary Islands, continue this Thursday

on alert for suffocating heat,

Navarra in orange, with greater intensity in -Andalusia, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia and Extremadura- where there is a red warning (extreme risk) due to maximum extremely high that will range between 42 and 45 degrees, reports the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) on its website.

Andalusia maintains the red level in Seville

, for values ​​up to 44 degrees in the Sevillian countryside;

in Cádiz, Jaén, Granada, Huelva and Córdoba the orange level continues (important risk) due to maximums between 39 and 43 degrees in the Cordovan countryside and in Cadiz, Pedroche, Guadalquivir valley, Genil basin, Cazorla, Huelva coast and in the counties of Andévalo, Condado and Aracena.

Castilla y León

has activated the red alert in the southern area of ​​the provinces of Ávila and Salamanca due to very high values ​​that will rise to 42 degrees;

the rest of the provinces are in orange due to maximums between 39 and 41 degrees.

In Castilla-La Mancha, only the province of Toledo continues with a red warning in the Tajo valley, with special intensity in the region of Talavera de la Reina, where the Aemet warns of maximums even higher than 44 degrees;

Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca and Guadalajara remain orange for

values ​​between 39 and 41 degrees.

In Galicia the red level continues due to maximums of 40-42 degrees in the Miño area, Ourense province;

in Pontevedra and A Coruña the orange warning follows for values ​​of 39 degrees, while in Lugo there is a yellow level for temperatures between 34 and 37 degrees.

Extremadura continues with a red alert throughout the community due to maximum records in both provinces that will range between 42 and 45 degrees, especially in areas of the Guadiana plain and in the Tagus and Alagón.

In Aragon there is an orange warning in the provinces of Huesca and Zaragoza for maximum temperatures that will rise to 37-41 degrees in areas of the Ribera del Ebro, central and southern Huesca, Cinco Villas and points in the Pyrenees.

The

Community of Madrid

maintains the orange level due to

maximums between 40-41 degrees

in the south, vegas, west, metropolitan area and Henares;

in the mountains, also in orange, 38 degrees will be reached, although in some places below 1,000 meters it can reach 40 degrees.

In Mediterranean communities, the province of Lleida (Catalonia) has an orange level in the Pyrenees, for maximums of 37 degrees, although in valleys and basins in the south it can reach 40 degrees;

in the Valencian Community there is only an orange warning in Valencia for maximum temperatures between 39 and 40 degrees in Ademuz and Xátiva.

In the

northern half of the peninsula

, La Rioja has activated the orange level in the Ribera del Ebro, for maximums of 41 degrees, and in the Comunidad Foral de Navarra, also in orange, there is a warning for records of 40 degrees in the Ribera del Ebro.

In the rest of the communities, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, Cantabria, the Region of Murcia and the Basque Country, the yellow warning has been activated for records between 34 and 39 degrees.

The Aemet warns that with the red alert the risk is extreme with unusual meteorological phenomena of exceptional intensity and with a very high level of risk for the population, while with the orange level there is significant risk in unusual meteorological phenomena and with danger for usual activities.
