The police in Eskilstuna were alerted during the night to Mälar Hospital, where a young man was looking for himself after being beaten.
The man who is in his upper teens must have had injuries to his face.
The teenager has stated that around 11.30 pm on Wednesday evening near Stadsparken in Eskilstuna, he collided with five masked men who tried to rob him of his valuables.
In connection with the incident, the man was beaten and later sought care.
According to the police, the suspected perpetrators did not get anything with them and what happened is therefore classified as an attempted robbery.
Police spokesman Dennis Johansson Strömberg states on Thursday morning that there are currently no suspects for the crime.
