On the 13th, the Central Executive Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party approved Chen Shizhong to run for mayor of Taipei.
The timing of Chen Shizhong's resignation and the replacement of the person in charge of the health and welfare agency have attracted attention.
Luo Bingcheng said that Chen Shizhong submitted his resignation letter on the 14th, and the relevant administrative work after the resignation will be carried out immediately. After the consultation and other procedures are confirmed, the candidate and handover time will be announced immediately.
Luo Bingcheng also said that Su Zhenchang, the head of the Taiwan administrative agency, will consider the follow-up personnel work time, so there is no question of acting as the head or commander of the health and welfare agency.
Chen Shizhong said that he has submitted his resignation, and the follow-up will depend on Su Zhenchang's relevant arrangements, which will be handled in accordance with relevant procedures.
