“Yes to Work” trains young citizens in vital specialties

The Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training announced the launch of the 21st cycle of the national program to enhance the participation of national cadres in the labor market, "Yes to Work", from 8 to 19 August in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.

He pointed out that the door to progress has been opened for young cadres of UAE nationals between the ages of 15 and 24 years, with the aim of rehabilitating them, training them and empowering them with skills that prepare them to work in several important and vital disciplines in the private sector labor market.

The program provides training opportunities for students, through which they work in private sector institutions and companies, while on vacation. Students participating in the program acquire many skills and experiences that are essential to success in the private sector.

The center explained that the vision and message of the "Yes to Work" program depends on increasing the number of UAE nationals working in retail establishments and customer service centers of the private sector, according to a clear strategy to prepare and train them to be qualified to work effectively in the various institutions and centers concerned.

He pointed out that the program offers new and unique job opportunities for participants, whereby they are given training opportunities in actual work environments to develop their competencies and skills and enhance their competitive capabilities with the aim of qualifying a generation that contributes to sustainable development, especially as the program improves their level of productivity and advances their contributions to economic and social development. It enables them to contribute effectively to the development of Emirati society.

The center called on the national cadres wishing to join the program to speed up the registration by filling out the application for participation electronically via the website “Yes to Work”, www.yestowork.ae, explaining that the mechanism of the program’s progress begins with registration, then selecting the participants, and then starting to guide them towards work. The most suitable for them, then determine the appropriate workplace for each of them, then the trainee begins the practical application, and at the end of the program the participants are evaluated, and they are given certificates of passing the program, which then qualifies them to work in the targeted sectors.
