Several missiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reached their target during the shelling of Lugansk late in the evening of July 12, Andriy Marochko, officer of the People's Militia of the Luhansk People's Republic, said, noting that the Ukrainian army had been trying to strike civilian infrastructure for a long time.

He explained that part of the air defense in Lugansk, which ensures the safety of the city, was fired upon.

However, Marochko said that the situation in Luhansk is under control.

“Despite the fact that several Ukrainian missiles have reached the target, the sky over Luhansk is controlled by reserve forces,” Marochko wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the representative of the People's Militia, all measures have been taken to ensure the safety of the civilian population.

The representative office of the LPR in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire reported that the shelling of Luhansk was carried out from the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, transferred to Kyiv by the United States of America.
