The head of the DPR Pushilin said that the United States did not turn to Donetsk on the issue of American mercenaries

“At the moment, none of the representatives of the American authorities have come out,” RIA Novosti quotes Pushilin.

He also noted that it is not yet possible to even discuss how the United States will be able to return its citizens without contact with the leadership of the DPR.

The American mercenary Alexander Dryuke, who was previously held captive on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic, said that he regretted his arrival in Ukraine to participate in hostilities.

Also, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the United States had received a request to recognize American mercenaries in Ukraine as combatants.
